Chieng aired an expletive-laden criticism of the conservative network’s segment. He also revisited New York City’s Chinatown, where Watters had mocked residents, and conducted more respectful interviews in Mandarin and Cantonese.[6] The video went viral and received coverage in the Washington Post,[7] Slate,[8] and other major media.Projects[edit]In 2016, Chieng co-wrote and starred in the pilot of a sitcom called Ronny Chieng: International Student, based on his own experience as a Malaysian student in Australia. It was developed into a series for Comedy Central in America and ABC TV in Australia and screened in June 2017.[2][3]In 2018, he made his American feature debut with the Warner Bros. film Crazy Rich Asians, directed by Jon M.
