American actress. She performed in her first play at 16 and has appeared in regional theatre productions ranging from Fahrenheit 451 at the Falcon Theatre to South Pacific at Goodspeed. Her many roles include comedy parts in Seinfeld (playing a tone deaf Miss America contestant), Ally McBeal, Veronica’s Closet and ABC’s Two Guys and a Girl. She also played a recurring role on the highly acclaimed FX dramatic series, The Shield, and has guest-starred on ER, The Practice and The Pretender, among other shows. She starred in ABC Family’s original series Kyle XY from 2006 to 2009 as Nicole Trager. MacIntyre also previously guest starred on the show The Mentalist as Heather Prentiss in Episode 15 (Scarlett Fever) of season one. She currently has a recurring role as Sheriff Forbes on The CW TV series The Vampire Diaries.[2]MacIntyre holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California, and studied acting at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
